Norbu Samphel is a dedicated Tibetan language teacher, translator, and interpreter passionate about making Tibetan accessible to learners worldwide. He holds a Shastri (Seven Years Bachelor’s degree) from the Central Institute of Higher Tibetan Studies, specializing in Tibetan Language & Literature, Buddhist Philosophy (Tibetan Medium), and English Language & Literature, as well as a Master’s degree from the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology (affiliated with the University of Sikkim), specializing in Tibetan Language and Buddhist Philosophy (English Medium).
Having helped more than 200 students, including Buddhist practitioners, CEOs, linguistic scholars, foreign monks and nuns, and polyglots build strong foundations in Tibetan reading, pronunciation, grammar, conversation, and Buddhist studies, Norbu is known for his clear, practical, and engaging teaching style. In addition to teaching, he has over seven years of experience providing translation, interpretation, and language services to clients worldwide.
