Norbu is true to his name ("Treasure"). He is a serious knower of his own language and his teaching is methodical and will yield good results for a similarly devoted student. Tibetan may appear difficult at first with its etymological orthography, but stick to learning and gradually a whole universe of rich literary tradition starts to open up, steeped in both mysticism and a modern perspective. Some important works of Buddhism are preserved only in non-Indic languages like Tibetan, so knowing the language can open doors you never dreamed of. Norbu is most definitely the right guide for this long journey!
